Sign-in, sessions and account security

Sign in by email, Google or Apple, automatic sign-out on inactivity, password and profile management.

Three ways to sign in

  • Email and password — with address verification at sign-up.
  • Google — using the Google account you already have.
  • Apple — with the "hide my email" option if you want it.

You can link a social account to an existing account, and unlink it later from your profile. Before unlinking, make sure you have set a password — otherwise you lock yourself out.

Forgotten password

The Forgot password link on the sign-in page sends a reset email. The link is single-use and expires.

Automatic sign-out

After a period of inactivity a dialog warns you and starts a countdown. Without confirmation from you, the session is closed.

The check is enforced on the server, not only in the browser: closing the warning dialog does not extend the session.

This matters most if you work from a shared computer, a van or a coworking space.

Your profile

From Profile you can:

  • change your name, email address and phone number;
  • change your password;
  • export all of your data;
  • permanently delete your account.

Account separation

Every resource — contact, activity, appointment, note, reminder — belongs to exactly one account. Filtering is applied at the query and policy level, not only at display time: two ProContact users cannot see each other's data, even by manipulating a URL.

Roles

  • Administrator — the professional: full access to their activities, contacts, appointments, statistics and billing.
  • Client — read access to their own appointments.
  • Portal contact — access with no account, by magic link and one-time code (see client portal).

Reporting a security issue

Write to the support address shown at the bottom of the home page. Security reports are handled as a priority.
